Inside the New Tech: How ProSun RenuvaTan Lamps Work
RenuvaTan hybrid tanning lamp technology — a single fluorescent tube that delivers full-strength UVA/UVB tanning rays plus a therapeutic dose of visible red light, all at the same time, with zero increase in session time.
Key RenuvaTan Technical Details:
• Red light wavelength: 620–680 nm band with a sharp peak at 635 nm (the exact “sweet spot” used in clinical collagen studies)
• UV output: Identical to traditional high-performance tanning lamps (no reduction in tanning power)
• Phosphor blend: Proprietary mix of phosphors that converts part of the lamp’s energy into that 635 nm red light without compromising UV intensity
• Power ratings: Most common sizes are 100 W, 110 W, 160 W XL, and 200 W XL (all bi-pin, 800–1,000 hour rated life)
• No near-infrared as that requires LED diodes — pure visible red light only, so you get the proven mitochondrial/collagen benefits without extra heat
